Jeremy’s Journey through the World of Martial Arts started 2008 when he had the opportunity to discover and develop his potential as martial arts practitioner and instructor.
During those years of hard work and commitment to continuous learning, Jeremy was awarded a 1st degree Black Belt in Defence, a 1st Degree Black Belt in Kyushin Ryu Jujitsu and a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt. He also acquired coaching experience in Japanese Jujitsu, Self Defence, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts.
Additionally to his belt ranks, he has a Certificate III in Sports and Recreation. Jeremy is also First Aid & Resuscitation trained and has a blue card issued by the Commission for Children and Young People. In order to further his professional development he is currently doing a Certificate III and IV in Fitness.
For Jeremy Martial Arts is a life style, a passion that has taken him to win multiple medals for both BJJ and No-Gi competitions. Just to name a few, In 2013 Jeremy had the opportunity to represent Australia in the world championship of Japanese Jujitsu held in England where he won a grappling gold medal; In 2013 at the Queensland Titles he received the title of No - Gi champion; and in 2012 at the Queensland Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Circuit he was undefeated No-Gi champion.
I was introduced to martial arts in June 2008 when I did my first BJJ class. Later on I tried Japanese Jujitsu, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. I found these arts fascinating in their own way, but I was drawn to BJJ’s unique style.
Along this journey I have witnessed how martial arts positively impact people’s life by improving physical and mental health. My personal and professional interest is to share knowledge and experiences that have the potential to enhance individuals’ quality of life. As a result of this passion I decided to follow a dream with Jeremy and open an academy where everyone could have access to martial arts and enjoy the benefits that come with it. So here we are, running Grand Martial Arts, a place that have changed my life completely and where I have met amazing human beings!
